📜

Audit-ready logs

Append-only audit trail across the full booking lifecycle. Survives pseudonymization. Maps to BSI Grundschutz APP modules and ISO 27001 controls.

Starter tier sits well below tender thresholds for many public bodies. Perpetual license — no recurring approval cycles.

Source-code escrow

Optional escrow agreement guarantees long-term operability even if the vendor disappears. Required by many public procurement frameworks.

FAQ — public sector fleet management

Why does public sector procurement prefer on-premise fleet software? +

Public bodies routinely operate under data sovereignty rules (BDSG/GDPR), security frameworks (BSI Grundschutz, NIS2), and audit requirements that disallow third-country processing. On-premise deployment removes the hardest compliance question — where the data lives — and replaces it with one you already answered for every other line-of-business system.

Can MobilityManager be procured without a formal tender? +

In Germany, perpetual licenses for the Starter tier (~€1,477 net for the platform fee plus per-vehicle pricing) typically fall well below the threshold for a formal tender (Schwellenwert). The exact rules differ per Bundesland and procurement statute (UVgO, GWB), so check your in-house procurement guidelines — but a direct award (Direktvergabe) is feasible for many municipalities.

Is the source code available in escrow? +

Yes. For public-sector and enterprise customers we offer a source-code escrow agreement with a neutral notary. If Cloudkasten GmbH ever ceases to maintain the software, you receive the source code under defined release conditions — guaranteeing long-term operability.

How does MobilityManager support BSI Grundschutz? +

MobilityManager maps cleanly to the IT-Grundschutz building blocks for application security: identity & access management (RBAC + SSO), audit logging, encryption at rest (DB-level), patch management (you control updates), and isolation (multi-tenant with separate schemas). A reference mapping is available on request for ISO 27001 / Grundschutz certification audits.

Which database backends are supported? +

Microsoft SQL Server (Standard, Enterprise) and PostgreSQL (12+). Both are commonly approved for public-sector use. You can use the database licenses you already operate — no need to buy a vendor-specific stack.

Are there reference customers in the public sector? +

Yes — German municipalities and public bodies are using MobilityManager for pool car management, departmental fleets, and self-service booking. Anonymized reference summaries are available under NDA on request.
